A fact from Andaman Sea appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 29 September 2010 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
|
Burmese name
[edit]May I point out that Andaman Sea (Kappali pinle) and Andaman Islands (Kappali kyun) are not the same as the Gulf of Martaban (Mouttama pinle gwei)? Wagaung (talk) 19:15, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
Image incorrect
[edit]The image is wrong. The line from Pedropunt to Lem Voalan runs from Banda Aceh to Phuket. Anything south of that line is in the Strait of Malacca, not the Andaman Sea. Andrew Yong (talk) 09:18, 11 November 2011 (UTC)

Problematic citations from Panjarat talk
[edit]Several claims in this article are attributed to a powerpoint slideshow. Further, I cannot find where these citations come from in the original powerpoint presentation. At first glance, it looks like the author of all citations to the Panjarat talk made up some claims, and then attributed them to this powerpoint willy-nilly. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 35.13.178.174 (talk) 18:19, 23 March 2012 (UTC)
- The presentation is from a reliable organization. Please specify which claims you believe are dubious. Materialscientist (talk) 04:14, 24 March 2012 (UTC)

Remove photo to discourage underwater wildlife touching.
[edit]Currently the article features a picture of a snorkler/freediver/person touching a starfish, added to the article in March 25, 2015.
In my humble opinion, touching underwater fauna is possibly damaging behaviour which should be discouraged. I recommend to remove said photo from the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ger-Jan (talk • contribs) 11:12, 13 April 2020 (UTC)
